Society of
Wales. We hope you enjoy your

The Society meets at irregular
intervals at a time suitable to most members, the date and venue being
decided in advance.
After the minutes of the previous
meeting have been read and signed, and other Society business has been
attended to, the format will include a selection of the following:-
The showing of a Sherlock Holmes video
or the playing of an audio cassette.
A quiz based on a case, chosen at the
previous meeting, from the Canon with each member providing three
questions. In fact, each member should have at least six questions
prepared as some they have chosen might have been asked by other members.
The person with the highest wins a small Holmesian prize.
Discussing the latest Holmesian news -
which includes reviews of the latest books, audio cassettes and DVDs.
A
24 page newsletter named
The Baker Street Bugle is sent to
each member every two months.
The society
has an extensive library of books, CD's , DVD's and cassettes which members
are able to borrow free of charge. The librarian in charge is Dennis
J. Duggan, BR (Hons).
Annual events include :-
1. Mrs. Hudson's
Dinner Party - guests are encouraged to attend in costume,
but it is not essential.
2. An annual outing with a Sherlockian connection.
3. "The game's afoot!.".............a public
presentation by the Deerstalkers to recruit new members.
